"Can anyone be great at sales?"
Anybody can, it takes very simple things to be great at sales because you, you understand all of you all about us are selling every single day.
Sales is not wearing a plaid suit and being out there jamming used cars down people's throats. That's gross. That's screwing people over and doing terrible things, that is not sales. Sales is about influencing somebody to make a better decision in their life that you want them to make. That is what sales is, and that's the heart of every relationship that you're in.
That's the heart of a parent child relationship. That's the heart of your corporate relationships or business relationships. And that is for sure the relationship when you're trying to get somebody to transact with you. So those people that are out there saying, Ooh, I don't like sales. It's not for me....
You've been at, in your whole life when you were younger and you used to ask your parents, can I stay up late tonight? Hello, you're in sales. When you're asking your folks, can I borrow the car keys? You're in sales. When you're asking your spouse, should we go see this movie or this movie tonight?
You're in sales. So when people ask me, can anybody be great at sales? The answer is yes, it just takes practice. Discipline determination and focus. And if you can practice the right things and do it correctly, you can be great at sales.
