Hello, my name is Janine Monize. I'm the CEO of Gem Revealed self-mastery to soul me. I'm a life strategist and a relationship coach. I've been in this industry of human behavior and self-development for almost 20 years and I'm looking forward to answering many of your relationship questions. One that I get quite often is this
Is there such thing as love at first sight?
1 The answer to that is simply, no. I do not believe that you can find it simply at first sight.
What I would say is that I know many people have walked into a room and locked eyes with someone and you've been swept away and there come the butterflies but what I might suggest is that it's an incredible case of physical attraction. Although physical attraction is incredibly important, chemistry cannot be undervalued, but it's not true love. There is no way to identify in that moment or for that matter, even the first week or two, whether or not that you're in love.
2 The first step to really understanding true love is understanding who you are. Identifying what are your core values, what is your purpose in life, understanding what you want our relationship to look like long term.
What is that healthy relationship for you and the non-negotiables attributes surrounding that relationship? Have a right mindset and expectation around true love.
Although it might be beautiful to walk in and really have that moment of attraction, I would not consider that true love. I would consider it an incredible physical attraction and don't let that disguise you.
What I would love to suggest is please visit gemrevealed.com and look under media. There are so many podcasts and articles that can really help shape your thoughts around what it looks like to build an abundant, fulfilling, loving relationship.
