How Do I Find My Life's Purpose?

Hi, my name is Billy Mandarino. I'm the author of the book "The Now-ist" and the teacher of the "Now Principles". In group work and an individual coaching this question comes up most frequently "How do I find my life's purpose?". It seems like such an overarching and a massive question, so most people shy away from it and they think it's just too large. It's too grandiose to even dip your toe into that.

Answer is:

1   The reality is that you can connect to your heart center, the power of your present moment awareness. You can learn to breathe into your heart and let go of the thinking mind. You can live in that imagination of what your heart is saying and your gut will tell you all you need to know about your life's purpose.

When you think about what it is you really want to create in this world, what you want to be in this world, where you want to have and serve and do when you live in that end with your imagination. When you imagine what it feels like to be the best part of you, when it feels like to live in a way it brings light to everybody around you. Whatever it is you want to do; an artist, teacher, musician, a business person, doctor, lawyer. When you see yourself in that end, when you learn to think from the end, instead of about the end, you'll find your purpose. You'll feel the swelling in your heart you'll feel the connections of all the five senses.


2   I don't believe in setting goals. I believe how you find your life's purpose is being in that end. Not about the end.  About the end is setting a goal on your bathroom mirror and hoping it happens and planning to make it happen. Being in that end is that I'm living it with my imagination with all five of my senses, my purpose, my highest self lives in that end.

How Do I Attract More Abundance?

Hi, my name is Billy Mandarino. I'm the author of the book "The Now-ist" and the teacher of the "Now-ist Principles". Often I get the question "How do I attract more abundance into my life?".

Answer is:

1   People live in so much scarcity and lack as a habit without even knowing why this program is being running in their life. They might've been told from their parents that "you have to save your pennies for a rainy day", "you have to step over dollars to pick up dimes". They're called mind viruses.

These sayings that have always gone along in your life and they kind of run as this bad score, this bad music in the background of your mind. It's kind of self-sabotage without you even know it. You live in scarcity and in lack as of a habit. It's not really who you are. It's you just running a program that you're might've been raised in, or your friends might have pulled you into this group which is "think like them don't be different".

In Australia, they have this wonderful term called the tallest poppy, meaning in a poppy field. If there's one poppy and it's sitting up too tall, they'll want to cut it down. If you're too big for your britches, they want you to come down to their level and that's usually why the lack of abundance shows up in people's life. They get programmed by their past, by their friends or their social group.


2   The key to abundance is living and the power that you have inside your being, your heart, your soul, your imagination.

The greatest gift you've been given is your imagination, because you can focus on what it is you want. You can attract that abundance when you already live in the end of that abundance, you imagine it's like to drive that car. You smell the new leather, you feel the steering wheel, you use all five of your senses in your imagination. Before you go to bed. When your subconscious mind is really programmable, and then you do that consistently. The universe will line up and attract what it is you're focused on most consistently.

How Do I Get Out Of Overwhelm And Stress?

Hi, my name is Billy Mandarino. I am the author of "The Now-ist" and the teacher of "The Newest Principles". People come up to me all the time and ask me "how do I get out of overwhelm and stress?" and my answer is always the same.

Answer is:

1   If you're living in stress and overwhelm your focus and the majority of your time is spent thinking about the past and the future because stress needs this linear time. What I like to call the vertical is the divine line that runs straight up to eternity straight up to God. When you can cross your linear thinking and your past future thinking and put the power of your awareness where those two lines meet... that's "the now".

When you can cross linear past future time with vertical divine time, that cross suffocation is "the now". What's being announced is somebody lives 90% of their day in the present moment, out of stress, using their imagination to put their awareness on what it is they want to bring into their life. Not in the stress, full moments of your past, the stressful moments of your future.

How Do I Take My Life To Next Level?

Hi, my name is Billy Mandarino. I'm the author of the book 'The Now-ist" and the teacher of "The Now-ist principles". People will come out to me and ask me in seminars or one-on-one teaching experiences "How do I take my life to the next level?" and I always have the same answer "your next level is in the unknown".

Answer is:

1   The next level for you, my friend, is into that unknown. Finding out how to get comfortable with the unknown. That great vast space that possibility in your imagination, staying out of certainty, stretching yourself, going beyond your comfort zone.

The unknown is where the growth is. Most people crave, certainty. They want to know what's going to happen. Some people even want to know how the football game or the basketball game is going to end. They want to know what happened.

What Do You Do When Partner Triggers Negative Past Experience In My Life?

Hi, my name is Billy Mandarino. I'm the author of "The Now-ist" and teacher of "The Now-ist Principles". Sometimes I'll get the question in seminars or one-on-one coaching with clients "what do you do when my partner or my family member triggers a negative past experience in my life?".

Answer is:

1   What happens is when you are aware of that you feel yourself going into this rage, you feel helpless. When you have the awareness that you are triggered and you lean into that, you surrender to that awareness, peace and presence is hiding in that moment.

Most people fly into the rage. They don't have any awareness or consciousness of what's happening. When you start to program yourself by living in the present moment, by learning the power of your awareness, you get the gift of presence while realizing that you're not present.


2   The first step to becoming present is realizing that you're out of control, that you're being triggered by a family member or your partner.

You have that awareness to know that you need to go deeper. You need to go to the next level and it seems counter-intuitive. The art of surrender when you can be in that awareness and surrender to it. Knowing that it's not you in the moment, that's your past. When you learn to live in that past, these old gramophone records will play and they don't interrupt. They don't scratch the record. They don't have the awareness to take action and the action to get out of this negative trigger is the power of your awareness.

Being aware that you are triggered is the first step into peace, and you can change your life. You can change these reactions that you fly into without even being aware with consciousness, the power of your awareness and using that present moment awareness to transmute it into peace.

What Is The Meaning Of Life?

Hi, my name is Billy Mandarino. I'm the author of the book "The Now-ist" and the teacher of "The Now-ist Principles". "What is the meaning of life?". Often, I get that question and I know it's a large question to think. "How can I find my meaning?", "How can I find what it is in life that I'm supposed to become?".

1   The meaning of life resides in that quiet space that we rarely get to. The quiet space is the present moment. When you can learn to still your mind, quiet your yourself, slow your breathing, connect your mind to your heart. Why Am I So Afraid Of The Unknown?

1   Human creatures crave certainty. They don't like uncertainty. They don't want discomfort. They want comfort, but the unknown is where the growth is pushing up against those edges.

Why Am I So Caught Up In Things To Make Me Happy?

Hi, my name is Billy Mandarino. I'm the author of "The Now-ist" and the teacher of "The Now-ist Principles". I get this question often "why am I so caught up in things to make me happy?". Well, my beautiful little daughter when she was about three years old and was cleaning out her room, said "daddy, I have so much stuff in my room, I almost feel sick". She says "I feel stuffed sick" and I thought "here we are in this world, caught up in things, getting more things, buying more things, this retail therapy mentality to try and make us feel better."

Answer is:

1   You can never fill that hole in your heart or that hole in your life with things. When identify with these things that you buy, this is a temporary fix.

If you are caught up in buying too many things or acquiring so many things, you are so focused on outward appearances, then you know that the power of awareness is going to be your best friend. The power that you have, the awareness that you have about this issue, it doesn't seem to fulfill you every time you buy something. An hour, a week, a few days later, it doesn't matter to you anymore, you're onto the next. That's something that will never fill you up. Service is the best way to get out of being stuffed sick. Find a way to serve somebody that cannot repay you. When you come from a place from "how can I serve?" not "what's in it for me?", your life will get better. Why Do I Seem To Self Sabotage?

Hi, my name is Billy Mandarino. I'm the author of the book "The Now-ist and the teacher of "The Now-ist Principles". I get this question frequently "why do I seem to self-sabotage when good things start to happen to me in my life?".

Answer is:

1   Usually what happens is that something will start to happen that's positive in a relationship, in a job. You start to have a connection with somebody and then something inside you will trigger. You'll start to push that person away or that opportunity won't seem as good as it should be. You'll make an excuse based on your past experience when you put your energy and your focus on your past or your future.

There's no chance for the generous present moment to come in and rescue you from that self-sabotage. Most people will just replay a memory from their past, from their childhood, from a trauma, from a previous relationship or an old job. They feel that pain and they'll bring it into their present moment.


2   To transmute that pain from your past or your future, it takes the power of present moment awareness. You do that by connecting consistently back to this moment. Not using your psychology of your confidence from the past or your worries and fears from your future that take you out of the generous present moment.

That time-balanced self is usually the culprit to self-sabotage. Your focus goes all over the place instead of where you really have your power, which is right here in the now. When you're in the present moment your presence is back. When your power is back and using your imagination to focus on what did you really want in your life... then you'll shift out of that.

Why Is It So Hard To Stick With My Good Habits?

Hi, my name is Billy Mandarino. I am the author of "The Now-ist" and the teacher of "The Now-ist Principles". Often, I get the question "why is it so hard to stick with my new good habits?"

Answer is:

1   We are creatures of habit, but the problem is we that run by our subconscious programming.

You'll start the new year with a new year's resolution or you'll have a birthday with a zero after it and you'll start this new plan. After a month or two, you'll just quit. It comes from your subconscious programming. Often people don't understand why they self-sabotage because they're running these old patterns without even being aware of it.


2   This past that you've lived in for so long is ingrained in your physiology, ingrained in your system and you. You do it without even knowing 95% of everything you do is subconscious.

You drive a car, hit a golf ball, bake a souffle. All of this comes from your subconscious programming. It's automatic and when you start self-sabotaging or you quit those new good habits, it's because you're getting triggered back into your old patterns.


3   You have to recondition your subconscious mind so that these new patterns can stick.
