It may simple be that you have experience the problem that brought them to your site in the first place, and you found a solution to the problem that you want to share with them! How do blue light blocking lenses work?

Hello, I'm Dr. Adam Rosa with North Coast Optometry and a question my patients ask me all the time is "how do blue light blocking lenses work?"

Blue light blocking lenses function by putting a thin coating on the front side of the lens that reflects certain types of blue light while allowing other colors to pass through the lens on hindered. 

This creates a saving effect that protects our retina, but maintains good color quality.

Other types of blue light blocking lenses use a yellow tinted lens that absorbs the blue light rather than reflecting it backwards. However, those types of yellow tinted lenses obviously create a yellow tinge to our vision.
